How to install the slewing support correctly?

Slewing bearings are widely used in engineering machinery, port machinery, metallurgy, environmental protection and other industries. They can bear axial force, radial force and overturning moment at the same time, with compact structure and reliable performance. The main structure types are single-row four-point contact ball type, double-row ball type, cross roller type and three-row roller type.

Identification

1. Label:

Label is placed on the outer ring or the inner hole of inner ring of the slewing bearing.It

It is located on the inner ring of the outer ring or inner ring of the slewing bearing and it indicates the type, product number, manufacturer, etc. of the slewing bearing.

1. Mark:

The slewing bearing quenching soft belt hardened soft belt is marked with "S" and hit on the non-installation base surface (If there’s a plug, it’s placed on plugging hole). The soft belt should be placed in the non-compliance constant load area during installation.

The three teeth with the largest jump of the ring gear are marked by red or green paint. Adjust the gap between the tooth side of the pinion and the gear during installation.

Installation steps

1. Before installation:

(1)     Confirm that the installed slewing bearings are consistent with the requirements on the contract order.

(2)     Confirm that you received the slewing ring during the transportation without being damaged, affecting the performance.

(3)     Confirm that the oil hole matches the refueling method of the host.

(4)     Make sure that the installation of slewing bearings does not cause any unsafe factors.

2. Installation bracket requirements

(1) The slewing bearing installation base surface and the installation platform must be cleaned to prevent debris and welding slag from affecting the installation accuracy.

(2) The mounting bracket must have sufficient rigidity to prevent the slewing bearing from deforming and affecting its performance.

(3) After the mounting bracket is welded, internal stress relief heat treatment should be performed, and the plane should be machined.

(4) The plane deviation is only allowed to gradually fall or rise, and it is not allowed to fall or rise suddenly to avoid peak load.

3. Installation

(1) Hang the slewing bearing horizontally on the slewing bearing and use a feeler gauge to check the contact between the slewing bearing plane and the mounting surface of the slewing bearing. If there is a gap, use a flattening to prevent deformation of the bearing after the bolts are tightened.

(2) During installation, the slewing bearing quenched soft belt should be placed in a non-load area or a non-constant load area.

(3) Adjust the gear meshing to ensure that the meshing clearance at the highest point of the big gear ring gear bounce (three teeth marked with red or green paint) meets the design accuracy requirements.

(4) The slewing bearing mounting bolts should be high-strength bolts, the strength grade according to the design requirements.

(5) The mounting bolt washer should be a quenched and tempered flat washer. Do not use spring washers.

(6) The mounting bolt should have sufficient pretension force to be 0.7 times the yield limit of the bolt material. Use a torque wrench during installation.

(7) The tightening of mounting bolts shall be carried out symmetrically and continuously in the direction of 180° until all bolts are tightened. Ensure that the bolts on the circumference have the same preload.

4. After resettlement

(1) Check if the gears interfere.

(2) Check whether the bolts are tightened.

(3) Determine whether the operation is normal.
