  A slewing bearing is a rotational rolling-element bearing or plain bearing that typically supports a heavy but slow-turning or slow-oscillating load, often a horizontal platform such as a conventional crane, a swing yarder, or the wind-facing platform of a horizontal-axis windmill.

  Slewing bearing is called the joint of machine, which is used to connect the working part and supporting part. It is widely used in cranes, such as wheeled crane, crawling crane, gantry crane, tower crane and truck mounted crane. 

  Slewing crane and non slewing crane are used in port, workshop, construction site for material handling, emergency. With slewing bearing, slewing crane has the advantage of larger working area.
